Grown with Care

Panvera began with a personal habit — American ginseng tea, a part of daily life since the 1980s. Over the past decade, that habit got harder to keep: genuine Wisconsin ginseng became increasingly difficult to find, as imports from China and Canada were more often sold under the "American ginseng" name, despite differences in taste and quality. That search for the real thing is what led to Panvera.

Our ginseng is grown in Wisconsin's Marathon County — often called the Ginseng Capital of the World — where generations of growers have cultivated American ginseng in soil and climate conditions considered ideal for the plant. It's a tradition built on patience: the roots we source take years to mature before they're ever harvested.

The name Panvera comes from two roots: Pan, the Greek god of nature, and vera, meaning faithful and true. Together, they reflect what we're aiming for — staying true to nature, and faithful to the people we supply it to. Our long-term goal is simple: support everyday wellness through natural goods, sourced honestly and in line with nature.
