Frequently asked questions

What is American Ginseng?

American ginseng (Panax quinquefolius) is a root native to North America, distinct from Korean/Asian ginseng (Panax ginseng). Ours is grown in Marathon County, Wisconsin, in partnership with Dairyland Ginseng Farm.

Slices or powder — what's the difference?

Slices are the whole dried root, cut for steeping or slow-cooking. Powder is the same root milled fine, making it easier to add to drinks or recipes without straining.

How do I prepare ginseng tea?

Add a few slices (or a small spoonful of powder) in 200mL of hot water for 5 - 10 minutes. Roots can typically be reused and eaten. Can add honey, gineger, jujube or berries to enhance the taste.

How should I store it?

Keep It Airtight: Store dried ginseng in an airtight container to prevent exposure to air and moisture.

Cool, Dark Place: Place the container in a cool, dry, and dark location, such as a pantry or cupboard, away from direct sunlight.

Avoid Humidity: Use silica gel packets or a desiccant to absorb moisture in the container

Is your ginseng really from Wisconsin?

Yes — every shipment is CITES certified and AQIS-inspected on import into Australia, so you can trust both the origin and the legal import process.

Do you ship Australia-wide?

Yes — we ship to all states and territories.

How long does shipping take?

After processing it would take 1 - 3 days for express post and 3 - 10 business days for normal post.
